🧭 What is Mirai Creation Experience?

Mirai Creation Experience is a project by Miraidukuri Company, a Tokyo-based destination management company (DMC) that curates immersive, hands-on programs rooted in Japanese tradition, culture, and community. These experiences are crafted for international visitors who want to go beyond sightseeing and engage directly with local artisans, farmers, monks, and cultural experts.

🪪 Problem

The original website lacked visual hierarchy, consistency, and mobile responsiveness. Information was buried in dense text blocks, making it difficult for users, especially non-Japanese speakers, to navigate, understand the offerings, or take action. The site also failed to reflect the premium, bespoke nature of the experiences being offered.

🎯 Goal

Redesign the existing website to better reflect the company's identity as a premium provider of immersive cultural experiences. The objective was to elevate the brand for a bespoke, high-value audience by replacing dense text with visual storytelling, improving mobile usability, and streamlining user flows for tour discovery, inquiries, and conversions.

🎨 Website Design

After researching the expectations of affluent inbound travelers and analyzing premium tourism trends, I crafted a refined visual identity and redesigned the website from the ground up. The new bilingual platform emphasizes visual storytelling, with clean, intuitive navigation that meets the expectations of bespoke travelers.

📘 Booklet Design

Alongside the website redesign, I also created a booklet aimed at introducing our services to potential partners, primarily travel agencies and tourism companies worldwide. The design maintains a consistent visual language and branding style developed during the website revamp, ensuring a cohesive and professional presentation across all materials.
